Vermont Wing

Presenting the new official [emblem] for Vermont Wing! It contains the following symbolism:

Unity and Freedom: The Vermont State Motto is "Unity and Freedom." Unity is symbolized by the Civil Air Patrol charge, the former CAP symbol which, by definition, represents the Unity of the organization’s three missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services. Freedom is represented by the Liberty Torch, which is commonly used to represent Freedom in the United States.

Core Values: The four stars in the sky represent CAP’s Core Values of Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Respect.

Green Mountains: In honor of Samuel de Champlain’s original naming of this area as the "Verd Mont (Green Mountain) Region," green mountains are illustrated on this design.

This [emblem] was recently approved by Col Beach, Vermont Wing Commander, after a review process of submissions. This approved design was made by our own Lt Col Scott Lowe, our Government Relations Advisor and Director of Aerospace Education.
