  • The yellow lettering represents the excellence and honor of the motto of the organization and the unit itself.


  • The three stars represent the three missions of Civil Air Patrol.


  • The profile of the state with the runway markings represents where the unit is from.


  • The aircraft represents how the unit fulfills all three missions.



  • The emblem was designed by the unit's Professional Development Officer, 1st Lt Michael Sherrod, and approved by Lt Col Bill Schillhammer, Commander of Hanscom Composite Squadron. The patch was authorized for uniform wear by Massachusetts Wing Commander, Col Dave Belcher.
